The change advisory board (CAB) was once the heart of change management, but with the ITIL4 transition to change enablement, the CAB and its purpose are changing. Wow, that's a lot of change! While well-meaning, the reality is that these boards can become a bottleneck in the IT value stream. So, where's the balance?

In this session, we'll discuss the history of the CAB (the good, the bad, and the ugly) and how to evolve your CAB into a role that enables changes without being a constraint. Attendees will walk away an understanding of:

  • The what and why of CAB
  • How to work your CAB out of a job
  • How to start an efficient and effective CAB or how to make your current CAB better
