Imagine if your job success was rooted in the adrenaline of fear, and victory – and your personal safety! – were based on decisions made at over 100 miles per hour. To achieve her summits, Julia takes a different and more high stakes path. Beyond the skill and knowledge of her and her pit crew, her performance is dependent on data and technology working together. Sound familiar, HDI community?

Julia Landauer loves that racing is a STEM-centric sport, requiring athletic prowess and technological literacy to be successful. She also appreciates how our ever-evolving world requires each of us to have an understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math to truly reach our potential.

Through a personal narrative, Julia discusses integration of data and technology are at the heart of the technical support and service management profession, how understanding the biology of fear can help us approach things that scare us with confidence, and techniques for how to use technology to support innovative practices.
