After starting his career in internet and telephony technical support, Alex moved into call center management and ultimately found his love for knowledge management. He has worked as a support director for VC-funded startups in the dot com era (and he still has the worthless stock certificates to prove it!) and worked in Call Center and Knowledge Management for AT&T, Party City, and his current employer, Upland Software. He currently serves as a principal consultant and solution consultant team lead for Upland, focusing primarily on their Knowledge Management software solutions. When he’s not at work, he’s busy writing, restoring old machines, producing podcasts, volunteering with the Scouts BSA, or spending time with his wife, two children, and three dogs.
