Sandy is a native of South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. She began her career in IT doing Technical Support for a local company that provided shelf-ready materials to libraries. While working in the field, she obtained her Associates Degree in Information Sciences and Technology and later accepted a position as an IT Support Specialist at the Pennsylvania State University. In this position, she not only assists faculty, staff and students but also oversees a small team that grants security access to the Universities financial system. Recently, she had the opportunity to manage Penn State's Covid Call Center that was brought in house as a subset to their Service Desk.
Sandy has a very outgoing, vibrant personality and is often called upon by her management team to assist in creating fun, engaging activities to keep the team connected. As an avid sports fanatic, Sandy uses concepts like March Madness to create some team camaraderie and friendly competition. During her tenure at Penn State, she has researched 100s of motivational and learning activities and has been able to adapt them to fit participation throughout a 24x7 staff scheduling as well as across organizational lines.
