Joe Fugere is currently the IT Service Center Director at the University of Alaska Anchorage, where he oversees the IT Service Desk and Field Services teams. Over the past several years, Joe has been leading efforts around Experience Management (XM) from an IT perspective. As part of this effort, he established a Student Experience IT Focus Team that is committed to improving the Student Experience by partnering with non-IT Student Focused departments in exploring technology solution to help them enable their student-focused goals/vision. Joe is also a PMP-certified Project Manager and has spent 25 years of his career managing large scale projects, from both the customer and consulting side. In his free time, Joe thoroughly enjoys fishing the Alaskan waters, as well as camping, hiking, and drumming.
